"Thanks to the more than seven thousand Strade Sicure military personnel that even today, May 1st, like every other day, patrol and monitor the main Italian cities, contributing significantly, together with the police force, to always maintaining a high level of security in our country and increasing its perception by citizens", said Undersecretary of State for Defense, Domenico Rossi, who met the soldiers involved in the Rome sites,"Uniformed professionals who are an example of daily work and dedication to the service of Italy, Europe and the entire international community at a particular moment, as complex as the one we are experiencing."
There are seven thousand soldiers operating in Italian cities as part of the safe roads operation. They are joined by another seven thousand men and women engaged in missions abroad.
"On many occasions I have had the opportunity to realize the professionalism demonstrated in training and operational activities, at home and abroad"said Rossi,"I thank you for all that you do daily and silently. I am proud of your work and the results achieved".
