Convention between the Arma dei Carabinieri and the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the CNR

Yesterday evening 5 October, at the General Command of the Carabinieri, an agreement was signed between the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of the National Research Council (CNR) and the Arma dei Carabinieri, aimed at enhancing the archival heritage and cultural of the Arma.

The collaboration between the Institute of Pisa, a national research organization in the field of information and communication technologies and computational sciences, aims at the development and development of a project, based on the most advanced scientific criteria in the fields of archival and information technology, for the reorganization, classification, digitalisation, public use and enhancement of documentary, iconographic and cartographic material kept in the historical archives of the Carabinieri in the offices of the Historical Office of the General Command and its Historical Museum . 

The initiative, in the sign of synergy between the institutions, develops with a particular attention to the needs of effectiveness, efficiency and economy of the administrative action.

The agreement was signed by representing the Carabinieri Corps by the Deputy Commander General, Corps General Antonio Ricciardi, and representing the Institute of Informatics and Telematics by the Director, dr. Domenico Laforenza.
