Since the beginning of April, after having ensured patrolling along the coast of the African country to ensure maritime safety as part of the presence and surveillance activity in the Mozambique Channel, the Italian naval unit has embarked the two Mozambican officers in the city of Pemba, thus starting the extensive training and capacity building program developed by the on-board personnel and the opposed team of the marine brigade Saint Mark present on ship Rizzo.

From the very beginning, the two young Mozambican officers took part in the first phases of training at sea, actively supporting the Italian personnel in all activities and participating in operational life on board, as well as in training activities focused, in particular, on the conduct of Maritime Interdiction OperationsPractical training sessions for VBSS (Visit, Board, Search and Seizure) operations, maneuvers for the management of minor naval vessels, tactical movements in a naval port environment, use of light weapons in realistic operational scenarios, all accompanied by healthy daily gymnastic activity, are just some of the activities conducted on board during the period of stay of the ship.
