The pause in the training activities and the possible redeployment of the Italian military from the Iraqi operation areas is part of the contingency plans for the protection of the personnel employed.
They do not represent an interruption of the mission and commitments made with the coalition but are only dependent on the security measures adopted.
Alert states and security measures are decided at the international coalition level in coordination with the various partner nations.
At present, the coalition headquarters are planning a partial redeployment of assets outside Baghdad.
