With regard to what was reported by some press organs about the suspension of the bilateral mission in Libya, it is reiterated that the activities agreed in agreement with the Libyan authorities are continuing regularly.
There are no hypotheses for the withdrawal of Italian military personnel from Libya, where the contingent's commitment is appreciated by the Libyan political authorities, the international community and the Libyan population.
The situation in the country requires a high level of attention and the Italian military are ready to implement all the necessary measures to safeguard security.
