A pair of interceptor fighter aircraft deployed on Malbork's Krolewo airport took off yesterday afternoon to intercept four Russian fighters which, although flying over international waters, had affected Polish and Swedish airspace - le Flight Information Region of the two countries - and represented a threat to the borders of the Atlantic Alliance. The intervention of the Italian fighters made it possible for the Russian aircraft to re-enter the airspace of Kaliningrad.

In the first two months of operation in Poland, the aircraft Euro Fighter of Task Force Air "White Eagle" have already carried out 15 alarm activations, for a total of almost 40 flight hours during the real scramble activities ordered by Combined Air Operations Center of Uedem in Germany, the NATO control body that has the task of checking all radar tracks of suspicious aircraft approaching or attempting to enter the airspace protected by the Atlantic Alliance without the necessary authorizations.
