The exercise ended in recent days at the Capo Teulada shooting range Last Storm, multi-weapon and multifunctional training activity conducted by the 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment, the 5th Engineers Regiment and the Logistics Regiment of the Sassari Brigade, aimed at maintaining the operational capacity of the component Opposing Force (OPFOR) e Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF) of the NATO Response Force (NRF).
In this context, the 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment conceived, planned and conducted a fire exercise aimed at achieving full interoperability of the assets combat, combat support e combat service support.
During the final exercise, from the command post, made up of the staff of the 3rd bersaglieri, integrated by personnel of the 5th sappers and the Sassari logistic regiment, the intervention capacity of the assets was tested Route Clearance Package (RCP) of the Engineers - who reconnoitered the itineraries and carried out the expeditious remediation of improvised explosive devices (IED) - and that of support of the logistic assets, which simulated recovery and evacuation interventions of armored vehicles involved in the explosion of a IED and carried out transport activities of supplies to the Bersaglieri engaged in simulated combat actions.
The 3rd Bersaglieri Regiment constantly supports the live simulation exercises that take place at the Tactical Training Center 1st level (CAT) of Capo Teulada, permanently providing a company that operates in the role of opposition forces (OPFOR) against the units that alternate to complete the readiness for use in operational theaters.
