Twice the Eurofighter 2000 of Task Force Air Black storm were activated yesterday by order of the CAOC of Torrejon, responsible for the control of the airspace of Romania.
The order of Scramble, technical term to indicate the request for a rapid take-off, was given following an entry into the FIR (Flight Information Region), the airspace under the responsibility of the Romanian control bodies, of unauthorized air traffic.
The Italian aircrafts of the QRA (Quick Reaction Alert) cell, in continuous coordination with the CRC (Report and Control Center) of Otopeni, continued to monitor the air traffic remaining in the area of their competence before returning to the airport of Mihail Kogalniceanu.
