The 2 ° course has ended Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) in favor of the special forces of the Marine Commando Regiment started the 25 February 2019 for a duration of 5 weeks.

The VBSS course, conducted by Mobile Training Team  (MTT) coming from the 2nd San Marco Regiment and the Landing Vehicles Group of the San Marco di Brindisi marine brigade, guaranteed to the visitors the necessary knowledge and technical skills for the training of 23 operators, including non-commissioned officers and graduates, all belonging to the forces Lebanese specials.

The course provided the ability to operate in a coordinated and adequate manner, at team level, in a Maritime context. The students have acquired the necessary knowledge to use assets such as the helicopters of the Lebanese Air Force “Puma” and the inflatable boats.

By structuring the program on levels of increasing difficulty, the MIBIL MTT guaranteed the basis for operating in one Maritime Interdiction Operation (MIO) in a cooperative and non-cooperative boarding context through theoretical / practical lessons that focused on doctrine, use of weapons and equipment available as well as Combat training in Restricted Environments (CAR) necessary for tactical movement within confined spaces of a naval unit. Furthermore, boarding activities were carried out on naval units with Oceanic RHIBs (Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat), using the “Toscana” type ladder and telescopic rod.

The ceremony for the delivery of certificates to the personnel attending the Lebanese Army Force (LAF), at the end of the training / training program, took place at the "Miled Nadaf" base in Amchit in the presence of the commander of the Marine Commando Regiment, General Mouhamad Al Moustafa and the military attaché for Defense of the Italian Embassy in Lebanon, Colonel Massimiliano Sforza.
