At the end of a three-week training cycle, a course was concluded in favor of the Gibutian gendarmes of the GIGN (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale).

The training module, aimed at training trainers in matters relating to "high-risk police activities on the national territory", involved 8 units whose task will now be to train members of the same unit on the activities learned in the last three weeks .

The instructors of the GIS (Special Intervention Group) have set the training focus on both theoretical / practical lessons and on teaching, engaging them in training sessions held at the Academy of the Gibutian Gendarmerie.

The creation of realistic scenarios combined with high quality training allowed the GIGN units to operate with professionalism and precision in delicate operational contexts in the three weeks.

Among the activities that aroused the greatest interest was that which involved the organization of a protection service for high-risk personnel and the contextual recognition of the areas concerned; subsequently we passed to the learning of the executive modalities with the intervention on foot or with the help of means.

Only when every single learner was able to replicate the training automatisms on the ground did they move on to shooting range sessions aimed at discriminated shooting with short firearms through the aid of dynamic shooting silhouettes that reproduce hostile subjects in a crowded context.

At the end of the three weeks, at the amphitheater of the Academy of the Gibutian Gendarmerie, a short ceremony was held during which the Lieutenant Nouho in charge of the GIGN and the deputy commander of the Gendarmerie Colonel Ibrahim Elmi Kaib wanted to thank Colonel Giuseppe Maria Corso , commander of MIADIT 14, for the excellent results obtained by the GIS instructors.

On this occasion, the Gibutian authorities present wanted to reiterate the importance of training collaboration and their wish to continue activities with the Carabinieri.
