In recent days, the military ordinary for Italy, concluded the visit to the Italian contingent in Lebanon, based on Brigata Pinerolo, with the celebration of the Holy Mass of the Epiphany of the assisted Lord of the Greek Catholic archbishop of Tire, SE Mikhail Abrass, and from the military chaplain of the contingent, Don Pasquale Moscarelli.

The visit began in the afternoon of 5 January, in which Msgr. Marcianò was welcomed by the commander of the Joint Task Force Lebanon-Sector West of UNIFIL and the Italian military contingent, Brigadier General Stefano Del Col, at the "Millevoi" base in Shama (Lebanon), and received a brief operational update for the work carried out by the Italian blue helmets committed to ensuring compliance and application of the 1701 UN Security Council Resolution with tasks of monitoring the cessation of hostilities, supporting the Lebanese armed forces (LAF) and assisting the population civilian in southern Lebanon.

The bishop then entertained himself with all the staff free of service and with the occasion expressed his gratitude for the work done by the Italian military in such a complex scenario, underlining the importance of military contingents abroad, where not only the military is a peacemaker, but also an opportunity to confirm the beauty of being Italian.

Monsignor Marcianò also visited an observation post on the Blue Line, the demarcation line between Lebanon and Israel, personally verifying the work carried out by the Italian military.
