Libya, MIASIT: nursing course in the operating theater

Yesterday, with the delivery of the participation diplomas, the training, awareness and professional training course was concluded at the Misurata Medical Center, or the Misurata civil hospital.

The course, organized by the Italian field hospital of Misurata as part of MIASIT (bilateral mission of assistance and support in Libya), was aimed at undergraduate nurses and focused on the procedures that each operating theater instrumentalist must implement to prepare the surgical field.

The activity in question is part of the context of support and health cooperation envisaged among the tasks of the Mission in Libya, which avails itself of the Italian field hospital located in Misurata, composed of military health personnel coming mostly from the Military Hospital Celio of Rome.

Doctors, nurses and technicians constitute a recognized resource of excellence, which allows the healthcare facility to express intensive therapy and post-surgical assistance, surgical and internal hospitalization, clinical diagnostics, physiotherapy, blood bank, 1 level imaging , pharmacy, preventive medicine and telemedicine.
