Libya, MIASIT: nursing course in the operating theater

The training, awareness and professional updating course at the Misurata Medical Center, or rather the Misurata civil hospital, ended yesterday with the delivery of the participation diplomas.

The course, organized by the Italian field hospital of Misurata as part of MIASIT (Bilateral Mission of Assistance and Support in Libya), was aimed at graduating nurses and was focused on the procedures that every operating room instrumentalist must implement to prepare the surgical field.

The activity in question is part of the context of support and health cooperation foreseen among the tasks of the Mission in Libya, which makes use of the Italian field hospital located in Misurata, composed of military health personnel coming for the most part from the Military Polyclinic Celio of Rome.

Doctors, nurses and technicians constitute a recognized resource of excellence, which allows the healthcare facility to express intensive therapy and post-surgical assistance, surgical and internal hospitalization, clinical diagnostics, physiotherapy, blood bank, 1 level imaging , pharmacy, preventive medicine and telemedicine.
