Lebanon: the Italian contingent donates PCs and teaching aids

IT materials, such as portable personal computers, video projectors and teaching aids, were donated by the Italian Blue Helmets of the West Sector of UNIFIL (United Nation Interim Force in Lebanon), at the school institute of the Antonian sisters of Rumaysh, a municipality in the extreme south of the area of ​​operations of the Italian contingent in Lebanon.

Brigadier General Giuseppe Bertoncello, commander of the West Sector and of the national contingent in Lebanon, the mayor of Rumaysh Mr. Milad Al-Alam, the district governor of Bint Jubail mr. Charbel Al-Alam, under whose responsibility the location of the event falls, and the director of the school Sister Rita Eid.

In her speech, the director expressed words of esteem and gratitude towards UNIFIL and the Italian contingent: "Thank you for being here and thank you for this donation which, in addition to the material help it represents, has made our children smile and happy and represents a valid support for our daily activities".

For General Bertoncello, supporting the school and culture on a broad spectrum “It is an investment for the future of the new generations, in whose hands all the hopes of a world that seeks to build peace are placed, as we are all doing together in Lebanon”.

The project, coordinated by the specialists of the Multinational Cimic Group of Motta di Livenza (TV), is part of the intervention for essential support to the civil environment, in the local authorities and education sector.
