Latvia Silver Arrow exercise concluded

The two-week multinational exercise, ICE 2002 (Integrated Capstone Exercise), called ICE XNUMX (Integrated Capstone Exercise), took place in the training area of ​​Camp Adazi and other locations in Latvia these days. Silver arrow who saw the Bersaglieri and the tankers of the brigade Ram and the Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) core of the lagoon regiment Serene on a mission to Latvia, deploy and operate side by side with colleagues from the armies of the Allied countries participating in the operation Baltic Guardian.

The exercise, inserted at the end of an intense and important joint training cycle that lasted about three months, is an activity that in summary constitutes CREVAL (Combat Readiness Evaluation) within NATO.

During this phase of "integration", called Beast Prime, multiple and diversified training activities of an ordering and increasing integration level have been developed between the various multinational units that make up the eFP BG latvia, focusing on individual and collective training in the environment war.

This exercise made it possible to highlight, once again, the importance that training, cooperation and integration with the other countries of the Atlantic Alliance constitute the cornerstone for moving and fighting together.

EFP demonstrates NATO's willingness and ability to act in a united way - NATO stands as one - and it represents an extraordinary moment of verification of one's military capabilities of deployment and flexibility of use.

 The Italian Armed Forces take part in the eFP by deploying in Latvia, under the battle group Canadian-led, a company-level shunting unit; to this is added the component of national support which guarantees its full operation.
