KFOR: The gen. Francesco Paolo Figliuolo welcomes Hoyt Brian Yee

Yesterday, the commander of the Kosovo Force (KFOR), division general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, received the deputy secretary of the US State Department for European and Eurasian Affairs, Hoyt Brian Yee, at the "Film City" base, headquarters of the NATO Command in Pristina.

The two high offices focused on the current socio-political situation and on the country's security conditions, sharing the importance of the KFOR mission as an indispensable stabilizing factor in the area.

The talks were further deepened in the meeting subsequently hosted by the US embassy in Pristina, in which General Figliuolo met the political leaders of the Kosovar institutions, first and foremost President Madame Atifete Jahjaga, and the main representatives of the international community, including the head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Gabriele Meucci, and the main heads of accredited diplomatic missions in the country, including the Italian ambassador, Andreas Ferrarese.

The meeting focused on the importance of the role of concertation between local institutions and the international community, to define and implement intervention policies aimed at the development of all strategic sectors of the country.
