The Italian military of the NATO KFOR mission donated 34 laptops to the Ministry of Education, contributing to the development of distance learning for schools in Kosovo.

Thanks to the donation of the Italian Defense, teachers will have a tool for recording video lessons and teaching in streaming, eliminating the possibility of contagion linked to study in the presence.

The project was developed by the Military Civil Cooperation team and was completed by the Italian military of Regional Command West commanded by Colonel Gianluca Figus and based on the 5th Army “Superga” land artillery regiment (rocket launcher).

In recent weeks, the Italian-led command has carried out numerous projects in favor of all the communities living in the western region of Kosovo.

The assistance activities mainly concerned young people and the fight against Covid19, through the sanitization of school structures and the donation of personal protective equipment.

The NATO KFOR mission has been operating since 1999 under the mandate of UN resolution 1244 to contribute to the security and freedom of movement of all citizens in Kosovo, impartially assisting the development of all institutions and communities.
