KFOR: Multinational Training Day concluded

The military of the maneuvering battalion of the Regional Command West concluded today a joint training of two consecutive days held at the former Gjakova airport.

The multinational maneuvering battalion, made up of 4 companies powered by personnel of 7 different nationalities, carried out crowd control activities, anti-riot activities, exercises on freedom of movement and operations to secure sensitive targets; check-points, belting and searching for people and materials potentially dangerous for the conduct of the KFOR mission were also carried out.

The interoperability between the various multinational components, the continuous training, familiarization and comparison on the different technical-tactical procedures for the consolidation of operational capabilities, are the objectives underlying the main tasks of the military of the Regional Command West: to guarantee the safety of the Decane Monastery and monitor freedom of movement in the western sector of Kosovo.
