The exercise developed within "Camp Singara", headquarters of the ITNCC L Command, made it possible to evaluate the reactivity of all the deployed assets and the effectiveness of the command and control with specific reference to the sharing of information and communications. The participation of the Hungarian contingent also made it possible to verify the interoperability procedures of the two contingents and test the ability to react in the face of a threat that could potentially endanger assets or personnel.

Colonel Daniele Pisani, commander of the contingent, during theafter action review expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the professionalism, dedication and commitment shown by defining this training moment as "important for maintaining operational and reaction capacity", but in any case preparatory to similar activities that will involve all contingents of the Coalition.

The Italian mission in IRAQ is the result of a multinational cooperation agreement pursuant to Art. 51 of the UN Charter, as well as Resolutions no. 2170 (2014) of 15 August 2014 and no. 2178 (2014) of 27 September 2014, based on the request for help presented on 20 September 2014 by the Permanent Representative of Iraq to the UN to the President of the Security Council.

The Italian contingent deployed in Erbil ensures support for all logistical-administrative, infrastructural and health aspects, as well as the correct execution of Reception Staging and Onward Movement (RSOM) in favor of national assets, acting as a single focal point for logistical support to the national device. It handles relations and coordination with local, civil and military authorities in the autonomous region of Kurdistan.

All the activities carried out in the operational theater are conducted under the coordination and according to the directives given by the operational command of interforce forces (COVI), led by the general of the army corps Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, who is the top command of the joint operations area and also performs the functions of staff body of the Chief of Defense.
