India: ATR 72 GdF at the forefront of supporting the health emergency

The ATR 72 of the Guardia di Finanza left last week from Pratica di Mare airport to India, which has been severely hit in recent days by the pandemic emergency. On board Leonardo's aircraft a new load of aid and materials for the local health system including 30 oxygen concentrators, donated by Vitalaire Spa through the Veneto Region, 2 ultrasound scanners from the Civil Protection Department available to the Lombardy Region, 2 lung ventilators made available by ENI and 212 thousand masks donated by Hope ONLUS. 

In addition to the transport of this material, the ATR 72 was used to bring back to Italy the team that since last May 3 has been working in support of local doctors at the ITBP Hospital in Greater Noida. Composed of the staff of the Maxiemergenza 118 group of the Piedmont Region, a doctor from the Lombardy Region and a representative of the Ministry of Health, this team managed in a very short time, thanks also to the support of the Italian Embassy in New Delhi, to make the machinery operational. for the production of oxygen donated by the Piedmont Region and to provide targeted assistance to compatriots with positive results.
