The contingent of the Italian Support Mission in Niger handed over a playground to the Koaudo II primary school.
MISIN Commander Air Brigade General Nadir Ruzzon, in the presence of Honorable Amadou Harouna, Niamey 4 Municipality Mayor Mariama Fouta Tiemogo and National Education Department Director Aminata Maazou, presided over the handover ceremony.
Mayor Tiemogo highlighted the importance of a play area that allows preschool children to develop their cognitive skills and said this donation helps improve the future of their nation as the importance of school education is recognized . The mayor then wanted to recall all the numerous actions already undertaken by MISIN in favor of the citizens of his municipality.
In confirming the importance of the game as an educational tool, the commander stated that "What allows us to build a future is certainly the education of children who represent our most precious asset".
This was followed by the inauguration of the playground and the usual ribbon cutting in an atmosphere of festivity, brotherhood and mutual affection.
The activities carried out by MISIN are conducted in accordance with the directives given by operational command of interforce forces (COVI), responsible for planning, coordinating and directing military operations, national and multinational joint exercises and related activities.
