The manager of KFOR meets the manager of the Joint Force Command of Naples

The commander of the Kosovo Force, general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, today received in the headquarters of the mission the visit of the commander of the Joint Force Command Naples (Joint Allied Command of Naples), admiral Mark Ferguson.

The general and his international staff updated the admiral on the current socio-political situation and the state of security in Kosovo, noting the crucial role played by KFOR as a crucial partner in the stabilization process of the delicate Balkan area.

During the visit, Admiral Ferguson met Father Sava Janjic, abbot of the Orthodox monastery of Decane. On the occasion, the high official expressed his satisfaction at the recent signing of the agreement between the monastery and the municipality of Decane, in relation to the restoration of the rural road that connects the religious site with the town. The mediation of KFOR and in particular of the Multinational Battle Group-West, an Italian-led multinational operating unit of KFOR, was fundamental for reaching the agreement.

Lastly, General Figliuolo reiterated KFOR's commitment to guarantee with impartiality the maintenance of a peaceful and safe environment to promote progress and dialogue in the region, cooperating with the International organizations present in the operational theater, and supporting the activities of the Kosovo Police. , EULEX and all local institutions.
