To welcome the COMCOI, at the base "Millevoi" of Shama, arrived together with the General of Division Paolo Serra, Head of Mission and Force Commander, was Brigadier General Maurizio Riccò, Commander of the West Sector.
The high military Authority, after having participated in an "operational" briefing on the development of the mission, met the Italian military. On this occasion General Bertolini wanted to underline the importance of the work of the blue helmets in a complex and delicate scenario like the Lebanese one and in a particularly delicate period for the whole Middle East, affirming that the work of the Italian contingent has been recognized deserving of appreciation from the institutions and the Lebanese population.
Finally, at the end of the visit, the Commander of the Operational Command of the Inter-force Summit carried out, on board an AB-212 helicopter of the 41 Task Group of the ITALAIR Task Force, a mission to survey the area of operations and the Blue Line .
