The commander of the IOC in Kosovo

The army corps general Marco Bertolini, commander of the Interforce Summit Operational Command (IOC), visited the Film City base, the headquarters of the NATO command in Pristina, where he visited the Italian contingent in Kosovo.

Accepted by the commander of the multinational force KFOR, division general Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, the IOC commander was updated on the current operating situation and on KFOR's future commitments. Subsequently, General Bertolini met and thanked the Italian military of all the armed forces present at "Film City" who, every day, contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability in Kosovo, emphasizing how our men and women are always appreciated ambassadors of Italy abroad.

During the visit, the IOC commander also carried out a survey of the main bases and outposts operating in the northern area of ​​Kosovo, where the KFOR multinational units contribute to ensuring the maintenance of freedom of movement and the necessary security conditions.

Finally, General Bertolini, accompanied by General Figliuolo, went to Belo Polje at the "Villaggio Italia" camp, home of the Multinational Battle Group West, where he met the soldiers of the Italian contingent operating in the western sector of Kosovo, in command of the Colonel Angelo Minelli.
