Last week at the Novo Selo Training Area the 32nd Tank Regiment, commanded by Colonel Federico Maddaluno, handed over command of the forward land force battle group of NATO to the 82nd Infantry Regiment "Turin".
The banner of the 32nd Tank Regiment returned on January 29th, to the A. Forgiarini barracks in Tauriano, after an intense six-month period in which the tank crews planned and conducted multiple exercises aimed at achieving interoperability between the national and foreign assets that make up the multinational battle group.
A unanimous effort, which allowed the units deployed on Bulgarian territory, to strengthen NATO's South-East flank in defense of citizens and territories from any possible external threat. In recognition of the importance of the task carried out by the 32nd Tank Regiment, on February 7th the farewell ceremony for the 32nd Tank Regiment was held in Piazza Municipio by the municipality of Spilimbergo where, in the presence of the commander of the 132nd armored brigade "Ariete", Brigadier General Domenico Leotta and numerous civil and military authorities, the unit received the embrace of the citizens of the city and the surrounding areas where the 'A. Forgiarini' barracks stands.
Once again, the citizens' sense of participation and belonging was strong, proving the strong bond with the personnel of the 'Ariete' brigade who live in that territory.
