The 31 March 2005, the Italian Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT), was named after raid captain Bruno Vianini, who died in February of the 2005, in a plane crash near Kabul, during the journey that would take him back to Italy.
"We are grateful and grateful to the Italian people, much has changed in our province since nine years ago the Italian PRT laid the first stone in the city ...", these are the words of the governor of the province of Herat as evidence of the support, that the Italian contingent, has given to the Afghan people in these years and for which, the governor concludes "... all this, we will not forget it".
The plaque discovered at the end of the ceremony entitled the PRT to the commander Vianini to remember who gave everything for the cause of peace in Afghanistan.
