After taking part in Operation Any, mission of the Armed Forces which had the purpose of providing support to the Qatari Armed Forces for the implementation of the defense and security system on the occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, the multi-purpose offshore patrol vessel Thaon of Revel returns in direct support to Operation AGENOR, military pillar of the EMASoh (European-led Maritime Awareness in the Strait of Hormuz) mission.
In particular, the vessel will resume patrolling in the Gulf, through the Strait of Hormuz and in the northern Arabian Sea.
The ship's activity, under the aegis of the European mission and in synergy with the other assets of AGENOR, will continue until mid-January with further stops in the ports of the Arabian Peninsula, accompanying activities in favor of merchant ships of interest and joint activities with other ships and naval aircraft operating in the region, such as the French aircraft carrier group arriving in the Indian Ocean.
