(To Army Majority State)
13/11/24

The exercise at the Novo Selo Training Area has ended Alliance Wall 24-2, an activity aimed at testing the operational capabilities of the multinational task group of the Forward Land Force (FLF) battle group, preparatory to the achievement of full operational capability of the multinational tactical group deployed in Bulgaria (MN BG BGR).

The live-fire training was developed in a high intensity conventional combat scenario (warfighting) and involved national and multinational units present in the battle group in the conduct of defensive combat actions, aiming to increase the level of integration and consolidate common operational procedures aimed at making the intervention of the Allied Forces faster and more streamlined in case of need.

La Alliance Wall 24-2, which took place from 4 to 8 November, saw over 300 soldiers and 60 combat vehicles deployed on the ground, representing a fundamental training and professional growth moment for the NATO assets deployed.

Il multinational battle group deployed in Bulgaria, led by Colonel Federico Maddaluno, represents NATO's response to the action conducted by the Russian Federation against Ukraine and at the same time demonstrates the Alliance's determination to strengthen the security and deterrent posture on the south-eastern flank, in defense of its citizens and its territory from any possible hostile action.
