Aid from Italian blue helmets for the Lebanese Red Cross

The blue helmets of ITALBATT, based on 1 ° regiment "Grenadiers of Sardinia", have delivered to the headquarters of the Lebanese Red Cross in Tire a load of humanitarian aid consisting of clothes, toys and educational material, collected in previous months in Italy.

The gifts will then be distributed by Red Cross volunteers to the most needy families in the villages of South Lebanon.

Moreover, in the municipality of Jwayya, area of ​​responsibility for the Malaysian contingent, Colonel Mauro Arnò, responsible for civilian and military cooperation of the Italian contingent, accompanied by the Malaysian deputy commander, Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Tahar Bin Abd Razak, provided to provide, in collaboration with the Rotary Club - 2060 District (Aquileia, Cervignano, Palmanova), a complete series of furniture and equipment for the expansion of the already existing clinic, which provides free health care in the town that counts about 10.000 residents.
