Afghanistan: the French ambassador to TAAC-W

The French ambassador in Kabul, David Martinon, recently visited the Train Advise and Assist Command-West (TAAC-W) of Herat, the Italian-led NATO Command of the mission in Afghanistan Resolute Support, currently based on 132nd Armored Brigade Ram.

The transalpine diplomat, engaged in a series of visits to the western part of the country, arrived at Camp Arena as the premise of some meetings organized with the government authorities of the province of Herat and international organizations operating in the area.

Welcomed by the commander of the TAAC-W, Brigadier General Enrico Barduani, the ambassador received an update on the security situation in the region and a description of the most important training, consultancy and assistance activities that the Command carries out in favor of the Security Forces Afghans.

During the visit, the ambassador expressed appreciation to the commander of the TAAC-W for the commitment of the contingent in favor of the institutions of Afghanistan and, in particular, for the guaranteed support, in foreseen cases of need, to the staff of the agencies international companies operating in the Herat area.
