Established as a division in Milan on February 1, 1939, theRam she was one of the leading players in the events of the Second World War, distinguishing herself for her worth and tenacity in numerous war episodes, such as the conquest of Tobruk and the second battle of El Alamein. After almost total annihilation, the division was reconstituted on April 1, 1943 and distinguished itself particularly in the defense of Rome from the Nazi-fascist troops.

Since 1949 theRam it is located in Pordenone and has been frequently engaged in operations, both on the national territory and abroad. In particular, he took part in missions in Bosnia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon.

TAAC-W is made up of soldiers from 8 nations (Albania, Hungary, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine, United States of America, as well as Italy) who operate with the aim of contributing to training, assistance and consultancy in favor of the Afghan Institutions and Security Forces, committed to creating adequate conditions of security and prosperity for the local population.
