Afghanistan: General Bühler visits the TAAC-W

The commander of the NATO Joint Force Command of Brunssum, General Erhard Bühler yesterday visited the Train Advise and Assist Command-West (TAAC-W) in Herat, the Italian-led Command of the "Resolute Support" operation, currently on 132 ^ base. “Ariete” armored brigade.

The head of the Atlantic Alliance structure responsible for the military mission in Afghanistan arrived at Camp Arena from Kabul, as part of the visits he is making these days to the “Resolut Support” commands.

Welcomed to TAAC-W by Brigadier General Enrico Barduani, the commander of JFC BS received an update on the operational and security situation in the region and, subsequently, with the advisors and staff of TAAC-W, he deepened some aspects of the most important training, consultancy and assistance activities that the Command carries out in favor of the Afghan Security Forces.

During the visit, General Bühler expressed to the TAAC-W commander appreciation and admiration for the contingent's commitment to the institutions of Afghanistan and for the excellent results achieved so far, underlining how important it is to continue with intensity and vigor in the TAA activities, to guarantee the country self-sufficient armed and police forces capable of providing autonomously, as soon as possible, to the security of their territory and their citizens.
