In this context, yesterday, at Camp Arena, the IEDD (Improvised Explosive Device Disposal) team of the Train Advise Assist Command West (TAAC-W) completed the reclamation of a large quantity of conventional ammunition, found during the research on the ground on the premise of the extension works of the airport area.
To allow the reclamation to take place, the excavation and excavation work of a "stove" or a cavity adequate to contain the effects of the blasting was carried out in advance by the specialist structures of the genius. The subsequent phases of neutralization of the artifices were conducted in safety thanks to the creasing of the area guaranteed by the Bersaglieri of the Force Protection Task Group and healthcare provided by military hospital staff Role 2 of the contingent.
