Afghanistan: Police Field Operations completed

In recent days, at the Arena Arena, headquarter of the Train Advise Assist Command West (TAAC-W) of Herat to lead the 132rd "Ariete" armored brigade, the ceremony for the presentation of the certificates to the Afghan Security Forces personnel who attended successfully the Police Field Operations Course.

The course, organized and conducted by the instructors of the Police Advisory Team (PAT), based on the 7th and 13th Carabinieri regiment, allowed the participants to deepen and refine their knowledge on intervention methods and procedures, such as approach and entry into buildings, police arrest, search techniques and handcuffing. The Police Field Operations Course, developed over two weeks of intense training activity, is part of the specific training set up for the benefit of the "Train the Trainer" instructor staff.

The commander of the TAAC-W, Brigadier General Enrico Barduani, present at the delivery of the certificates, wanted to underline the commitment and professionalism shown by the Afghan policemen during the various training phases, congratulating him on the excellent level of preparation achieved. The commander of the 5th battalion of the PSP (Public Security Police) Asadullah Hassani also took part in the event, thanking the Italian contingent for the support and assistance provided in recent years to the Afghan institutions.

 The TAAC-W, an Italian-led NATO Command, is made up of military personnel from 8 nations that work to contribute to training, assistance and advice in favor of the Afghan Institution and Security Forces engaged in the creation of adequate conditions of security and prosperity for the local population.
