Close Air Support training in Latvia for the Italian Typhoons of the Lithuania mission

The Eurofighters Typhoon Italians deployed in Šiauliai (Lithuania) provided Close Air Support (close air support) in the "Silver Arrow" exercise conducted by Multinational Battle Group NATO based in Latvia, in which a component of the Italian Army also takes part.

During the activity, the Italian pilots simulated tactical support tasks for ground troops, in collaboration with the JTAC (Joint Terminal Air Controller), confirming the versatility of the assets used in the theater.

Typhoon of the Italian Air Force, fourth generation multirole aircraft currently employed with the primary task of air defense in the context of Air Policing of NATO in favor of the Baltic countries, they also possess a solid CAS capability, thanks to the ability to operate at low altitudes and their high maneuverability.
