On August 25, 2024, the final phase of the selection process for admission to the 1st class of the normal courses for the 2024-2025 academic year began at the Naval Academy in Livorno.
The 165 aspiring Navy officer cadets will be welcomed by officers from the command line who will follow the young people in the many educational, training and teaching activities.
The goal is to bring out the determination, passion, awareness and resolve needed to undertake this life choice, full of challenges and sacrifices, but full of satisfaction.
The final phase of the competition process includes a 21-day internship, during which the aspiring officer cadets will be put to the test, for the first time, in a direct comparison with life in the Naval Academy and with the sea, and evaluated in multiple areas: from the disciplinary to the training, from the sporting to the didactic.
Motivation, a sense of belonging, passion and a spirit of sacrifice must be the driving force of all those who aspire to wear the "stars" and become a future officer of the Armed Forces.
The arrival in Livorno and the entry into the Naval Academy of the young competitors was framed by the direct participation of their families and loved ones, who had the opportunity to enter the Academy and get to know the reality of the Institute and the most characteristic and history-filled places more closely.
Well done to the young aspiring students who have come this far and fair winds for this last phase which will conclude, for the most deserving, with entry into the Naval Academy and the beginning of a highly professional training path.
