In Mariscuola Taranto, there are 44 marshals of the 21st normal course "Thesis" who have received the rank of "Capo di 3 ^ classe".

Ceremony held "behind closed doors", without relatives and friends, in the parade ground of the institute, in which, the commander amm. Enrico Giurelli, handed the grades to the students of the 3rd class in front of the admiring glances of the first and second class students lined up.

This is a very important milestone for them in their training and career in general.

The young "neo-non-commissioned officers" attend their third and final year at the Tarantino training institute of the Navy and have been appointed head of 3rd class by decree of General Directorate of Military Personnel (PERSOMIL) in mid-January. Their training program includes the combination of study activities, carried out at a distance in collaboration with the University of Bari, with a substantial professional training activity carried out at the institute. Another large slice of their time is dedicated to sporting activities in various disciplines, including offshore sailing. Furthermore, some of them are also assigned the delicate and important task of participating in the military classification and control of the activities of first and second class students, contributing to the fundamental process of training the younger generation.

The students of the "Thesis" course attend the university courses of the University of Bari in "Science and Management of Maritime Activities" (SGAM), "Computer Science and Digital Communication" (ICD) and "Nursing". The exams at the end of the first semester are underway for them and their course of study will end with the discussion of the thesis by November.
