“Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Recognition Award” to Navy officer

On behalf of NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) general Tod D. Wolters, deputy admiral Eugene Black III, commander US 6th Fleet and Strike Forces and Support NATO presented the "SACEUR Recognition Aword" to frigate captain Rocco Bucceroni during a ceremony held on Thursday 30 September 2021 to STRIKFORNATO.

The award is given by the commander of SACEUR to a very limited number of military and civilian personnel of the NATO commands who have particularly distinguished themselves for their excellent performance and important results.

Commander Bucceroni, in service at STRIKFORNATO since 2018 in the operations division, where he also holds the position of director of the Joint Operation Center, received the coveted recognition for having made a decisive contribution to increasing the operational effectiveness of the command. In particular, he distinguished himself in the preparation and execution of the activities that led to the certification of STRIKFORNATO as NATO Expanded Task Force (NETF) and the modernization of the Joint Operation Center (JOC), for which he created the work plans and supervised the training of personnel to ensure their full operation.

The innovation of the JOC has endowed STRIKFORNATO with an advanced command and control capability and greater operational flexibility, giving significant impetus to the effectiveness of the command and, more broadly, of the entire Alliance.

With the company SACEUR Recognition Award cf Rocco Bucceroni was recognized for his high professional profile, his daily commitment, unconditional dedication and exemplary performance, giving prestige and prestige to the Navy and to Italy.
