Il aeronaval training center of the Navy, as part of the training schedule of the naval team, conducted a "Pre-mission Training Recall" from 16 to 20 September for the crew of the coastal patrol vessel Explorer.
The activity took place in port and at sea, including several exercises of increasing difficulty. In this sense, there were numerous naval activities aimed at recreating operational contexts inherent to the exercise of emergencies at sea, with particular attention also to training in the so-called "damage control" sector, as an essential skill for the safety at sea of the crews of a naval unit.
The ship, currently in transfer to the Sinai Peninsula, will join the contingent within the 10th coastal naval group and then carry out the tasks of the MFO (Multinational Force & Observers), where from 26 October to 10 November the training centre will send an MTT (Mobile Training Team) that will work on behalf of the three naval units and the entire Navy contingent engaged in that operational theatre, with a view to continuing training in all aspects relating to damage control and ship and weather management.
At the conclusion of the training recall, the commander of the aeronaval training center He personally visited the crew of the ship Explorer to underline the importance of these training moments for achieving full operational capacity.
