First supplementary module for boarding team

10/07/14

From the 12 in May to the 11 in July, the first supplementary boarding team module was held, an advanced training in order to acquire the ability of the 2 San Marco regiment teams to operate in non-cooperative scenarios in both day and night.

From last Monday to today, the final exercise was held in the Taranto harbor with the attendance of the first supplementary module for "Boarding Team" of the San Marco marine brigade and the inspection teams of the military ships Espero, Doria and Stromboli.

The simulation has had a real connotation thanks to the collaboration of the merchant ship Ardita (General Cargo), commanded by c / t Pietro De Gennaro.

A series of daytime and night-time interruptions took place, hypothesizing the various non-cooperative scenarios by the merchant crew, simulating the presence of in-car criminals on board fire-fighting between the parties.

The training activity, new in its formulation, has allowed to increase the synergies between the brigade teams and the teams of the naval units involved.

The exercise took place in the presence of the am. Guerra, commander of the maritime brigade San Marco, who found in the c / te De Gennaro, a dear friend known in the 1980 on board of the ship Audace.
