Margottini ship docked in Crete during Operation Safe Mediterranean

September begins with the sharing of professional experiences and sailor life for the frigate's crew Carlo Margottini. During the stopover at the naval base of Souda (Greece), the Italian ship hosted representatives of the twin US units USS Bulkeley and USS Arleigh Burke, also moored at the base. A significant moment of comparison and exchange, which involved different categories and specializations on board.

Pilots and flight crews of the US Naval Aviation had the opportunity to visit the main premises of the Unit, including the ship control center (SCC), the combat information center (CIC), the bridge, and above all the flight deck and the hangar where, in front of the SH-90 helicopter of the ship Margottini, the various SezElicot exchanged experiences and anecdotes of professional life.

Even among the commanders there was no lack of a moment of meeting and sharing. Welcomed by the frigate captain Umberto Bulleri – at the helm of Nave for a few days Margottini, the commanders of the USS Arleigh Burke, Commander Bowman and the USS Bulkeley, Commander Trejo, the commanders were able to visit the FREMM ASW.

Ship Margottini, will soon resume its navigation as flagship operation Safe Mediterranean (WHO) after having contributed to deepening and strengthening the diplomatic ties and deep friendship that unite our country with the Allied and Partner Nations.
