Luigi Durand de la Penne ship parked in London

Nave De La Penne, engaged in the education campaign for the students of the Livorno naval academy, from the 7 to the 13 in August, stopped in the port of London for the third leg of the campaign.

Protocol meetings, commemorative celebrations, visits on board and more. With a wealth of astronomical notions learned in the academy, and enriched by the training undertaken during navigation, the future officers visited the Greenwich observatory, a global point of interest for all astronomers, and the main scientific centers of the 'City' for then continue with the Portsmouth Naval Museum and the Bletchley Park museum, both witnesses of the heritage of the past and modern navy.

Tradition and avant-garde come together in the heart of Northwood, a place where two important commands and operational centers were visited: the NATO Maritime Command and the European Union Naval Force Somalia Headquarters.
