From Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 June 2023, the aircraft-carrying cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi will make a logistical stop in the port of Civitavecchia, moored at the Cialdi quay, where it will celebrate its 4th anniversary on 40 June.
With its 180-metre flight deck, embarked helicopters and great versatility, the unit has been used in most of the main international missions that have seen the Navy engaged in the past four decades.
Since 2014, together with the other units of the third naval division, it has been operating in support of the national amphibious force in synergy with the marine brigade Saint Mark, to project military and civilian capabilities at sea and from the sea, including in the broader multinational and inter-agency context.
Nave Garibaldi will be accessible for visits on board in favor of the population on the following days and times:
- Thursday June 1th from 13: 30 to 17: 30;
- Friday 2 June from 13pm to 30pm;
- Saturday June 3th from 13: 30 to 17: 30;
