In Cingoli a nursing home has been transformed into a "Covid Hospital" due to the emergency situation that has arisen in the last few days with the spread of the Corona Virus epidemic among guests and health professionals.

In support of the staff of the structure, a family doctor from Cingoli and a nurse, two medical officers and 4 nurses from the Navy arrived: "in acceptance of our request sent to the National Civil Protection" confirmed the mayor Michele Vittori.

The first citizen also mentioned the commitment of the staff and "in particular, of the soldiers who give Italy so much luster in peacekeeping missions, in NATO, and who are showing an uncommon attachment to the values of the Fatherland because, working with the guests of the nursing home, the risk of being infected is rather looming. "

The team fielded in Cingoli is not the only one: "The Navy's commitment is very articulated: as far as health personnel are concerned, we have sent both doctors and nurses in support of the national health service to all the places from which this request came. Currently there are 14 doctors and 17 nurses working in the various hospitals in the north, especially in Lodi, Bergamo, Milan, Novara and more recently also in the Lazio region " so did Rear Admiral Riccardo Guarducci, head of the Navy's Health Inspectorate.

In front of the retirement home in Cingoli, a tent was mounted in which medical and nursing staff wears aseptic suits, to increase safety levels by decreasing the risk of spreading the infection.

"The staff of the Navy health service are used to working in complicated contexts - declares Rear Admiral Guarducci - for example on board a military ship sailing far from the coast. Our doctors are already prepared to deal with situations that are very often of an emergency nature and therefore operating in this context, in a terrestrial scenario, is absolutely compatible with what are the training preparation levels of our staff ".

The admiral inspector of the Navy's health is the dean of the body and "proud of all the staff involved in this emergency which shows a great dedication, sense of duty and deontological to give continuous support to the country to meet all needs."
