Military Navy: the competition announcement for 2.225 Volunteers in Fixed Annual Prize has been published

With the publication in the 4th special series of the Official Gazette (nr. 61 of 03.08.2018), the process has begun that will allow 2.225 young people between 18 and 25 years of age to be able to enlist in the Navy as annual Volunteers in Fixed Station (VFP1 ). Applications for participation in the first recruitment block must be submitted by 29 August at 27 September 2018, From 7 January at 5 February 2019 for young people who want to participate in the second block.

The Navy represents an extraordinary opportunity for today's young people, who want to invest immediately in their future to become "true professionals of the sea". The maritime environment is the keystone of the future of Italy, of Europe and of the whole planet.

The training and training facilities of the Navy represent the "gym of life" with behavioral codes based on essential values, team spirit, respect for the environment, assistance to others and to the community, where one learns to take on precise responsibilities.

Becoming a VFP1 of the Navy is the first step towards a professional career in the sea. The service provided for one year allows, in fact, to be able to participate, subsequently, to the selections for two additional stints, each lasting one year, or to participate in competitions for VFP 4 of the Armed Forces and count on a percentage of reserved seats in competitions of the Police Forces. Furthermore, the service provided in the Navy constitutes a merit in other Armed Forces competitions.

Also this year the VFP1 will have access to the Special Forces (raiders), to the Specialist Components (amphibians, divers, submariner and aircraft component) or to the Corps of Port Authorities (CP).

At the end of the short experience, the Volunteers of the annual Prefixed Stop have the opportunity to participate in the enrollment in the Volunteers in the Quadrennial Fixed Stop (VFP4), which provides a theoretical professional training phase, lasting about 6 months, at the Schools Non-commissioned officers of Taranto and La Maddalena or in the operational departments, alternated by a practical training internship on board the ships. The volunteers of the pre-established firm are employed in operational and training activities of the Navy and the Port Authority Corps, as well as in inter-agency bodies, both in Italy and abroad.

At the end of the Four Year Established Stage, volunteers can continue their career in Marina passing through the Permanent Service in the role of volunteer troops.
