Concluded the 2020 pre-direction course dedicated to the officers of the Marine Corps of Engineers, Naval Engineers specialty, which constitutes an important moment of professional updating, preparatory to the role of "engine managers" on board the Naval Units of the Navy.
The course, lasting 3 weeks, allowed attendees to share the experiences of official speakers from various technical and operational bodies of the Armed Force, such as MARISTAT, CINCNAV, COMDINAV DUE, MARINARSEN Taranto, MARISTANAV SEN Taranto and enrich their knowledge techniques in the areas of expertise.
After the welcome ritual of the admiral commander of the Center, the visitors began the study of technical topics related to both traditional and new generation propulsion and platform systems, such as those installed on board class naval units. At the facilities of the Ship System Service of the Air and Naval Training Center of the Navy of Taranto (MARICENTADD), they followed two different seminars, relating respectively to boarding as directors on smaller units (ship lieutenants) and on major units (corvette captains), which allowed them to enrich their professional background, both theoretical and practical, and to better prepare themselves to carry out the delicate task on board the naval team units .
After this important training moment, the officers will continue their updating by attending specific modules regarding the automation systems of the units where they will soon embark, after which they will finally be ready to start the most important and exciting professional moment of the career of a GN officer, that of "management".
