The commander of the first naval division, Rear Admiral Lorenzano Di Renzo, aboard Nave Palinuro under the command of the frigate captain Francesco Rima, he welcomed the commander of the Navy Schools, team admiral Antonio Natale, on the occasion of the conclusion of the education campaign in favor of the students of the 2nd class of the normal role of Marshals of Mariscuola Taranto.

Together with the students of the "Zeus" course, the 14 young people of the associations also disembarked: ANMI, LNI and STA-I and their companions who sailed from the port of Messina for a full immersion of going to sea on the schooner of the Navy.

The Comscuole wanted to personally attend the landing ceremony and also greeted the chief of staff, team admiral Enrico Credendino, and addressed very important messages to future non-commissioned officers of the Navy to treasure for the rest of their career.

"Study and continue to always be curious and proactive. Treasure every single moment to make your training experience profitable and effective. You do not limit yourself to learning only concepts but internalize those fundamental values ​​that constitute our most precious heritage: duty, loyalty and discipline, loyalty and altruism. " These are the words of Admiral Natale, who then continued "Always be generous and courageous. The sea will be your training ground and through it you will forge yourself to become part of the Navy crews soon."

Paraphrasing what was said by the commander of the Schools, the future pilots, during their period on board the sailing ship, had the opportunity to live a fundamental experience alongside the crew that saw them grow professionally, making them become an integral part and transmitting values ​​to them. which constitute the foundations of the seafaring art and of going to sea.

Embarked in Gallipoli last July 26, the students had the second experience on a Navy ship, after the one reserved for them at the end of the first year of training, but the first on a sailing training ship, where the seafaring art is expresses at its highest levels. They disembarked from Nave Palinuro with 647 miles covered and 340 hours of motion.

Now Ship Palinuro he leaves again for La Maddalena, his place of assignment, and then continues to sail until the end of September in the Tyrrhenian Sea, to carry out the planned institutional representative activity.
