Yesterday afternoon a representative of the Navy personnel visited the children hospitalized at the Onco Hematology Department and at the Day Hospital of the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital in Rome. The initiative aims to bring the proximity of the Armed Force to the little patients with the distribution of some gifts, trying to make their stay in the hospital more happy. In this sense, the solidarity bridge that binds the Navy to other charitable organizations such as the Francesca Rava Foundation is confirmed, whose solidarity products will be among the gifts that the Navy personnel will deliver to the children in care.

The link between the Navy and the Bambino Gesù Pediatric Hospital was born several years ago through the participation of the health facility in the activities promoted by the Tender To Nave Italia Onlus Foundation, born from the collaboration between the Navy and the Italian Yacht Club.

The Navy has always been at the side of those who fight their personal battle every day and those who find themselves in difficulty, in line with one of its fundamental principles that says "the Navy leaves no one behind" and does so even by eleven years, for the benefit of the most disadvantaged people in society, even on board of Nave Italia, the biggest brig in the world.

The foundation Tender To Nave Italia, promotes the culture of the sea and navigation as tools for education, training, social inclusion and therapy. The beneficiaries are non-profit associations, ONLUS, schools and hospitals, social services, public or private companies that promote inclusive actions towards their clients and their families. This project represents a unique and winning model of great commitment and civil solidarity which the Armed Force is the guardian.
