The consolidated cooperation between the Command of Mine Countermeasure Forces (MARICODRAG) and the Mine Countermeasure Operational Sea Training (MOST) also this year made it possible for the instructors of the Mine War Training Center (MARICENDRAG) participation in the training of the Belgian MHC mine hunter Crocus, at the naval base of Zeebrugge in Belgium.

The cooperation activity, in addition to ensuring the training of the naval units in training, offers a valid and constructive opportunity for comparison between what are considered the two main training centers in the field of mine countermeasures within the Atlantic alliance.

The activity took place from 27 to 31 January in the North Sea, where the MARICENDRAG instructors (one officer and two non-commissioned officers) worked as an integral part of the staff of sea riders of the MOST on board the Crocus, not only for specific training concerning mine countermeasures, but also for the conduct of navigation and marine maneuvers.

At the end of this international commitment, the activities of the training center will continue in the coming months with the training and training of the crew of the second minesweeper delivered by Intermarine to the Algerian navy and with the certification of Ship Gaeta to NATO (MAREVAL) standards, preparatory to the subsequent aggregation to the Standing Born Mine Countermeasures Group (SNMCMG-2).
