The Chief of Staff of the Navy visiting the General Command of the Harbor-Coast Guard

The Chief of Staff of the Navy, team admiral Enrico Credendino, paid a visit today, 10 August, to the headquarters of the general command of the Port Authority Corps - Coast Guard, welcomed by the commanding general, admiral inspector Nicola Carlone. 

Upon arrival, after receiving military honors, Admiral Credendino presided over a briefing during which the tasks carried out by the Harbor Master's Office - Coast Guard were presented, with a particular focus on the operational search and rescue activities at sea, the protection of the marine environment and fish resources, as well as on the safety of navigation and maritime traffic. At the end of the meeting, which was attended by the department heads of the general command, the chief of staff of the Navy signed the Book of honor, expressing his deep appreciation for the daily work done. 

The visit then continued at the national operations center of the Coast Guard, where the systems and technologies that allow you to have a constantly updated view of maritime traffic in the areas of Italian competence and responsibility were illustrated, in order to always cope with the maximum timeliness to various maritime emergencies.
