"I assure you that, even after your departure, the Italian Embassy in Rabat, the Consulate General in Casablanca and all the Italian institutions present in Morocco will continue to work to keep up the image that has been given by Italy. ".

With these words, the Italian ambassador to Morocco, Roberto Natali, welcomed by the commander of the 30 Naval Group, divisional admiral Paolo Treu, greeted the crews of the Italian Navy parked from 22 to 27 in March in Casablanca.

Naval diplomacy, capacity building, mutual training and promotion of Italian entrepreneurial excellence: these are the activities that have involved the almost 1200 men and women belonging to the crews of the aircraft carrier Cavour, the team refueling Etna and the Bergamini frigate, in a dense and full-bodied program. An initiative, defined by the Ambassador himself, "of high historical, cultural and national value" and that the Minister of Defense of Morocco, Hon. Abdellatif Loudiyi, who came on a visit aboard the Cavour aircraft carrier, was able to appreciate.

The 30 ° Naval Group campaign, "The country system in motion", will come to an end in Civitavecchia the next 08 April, after having crossed the waters of the Arabian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, and circumnavigated the African continent.

The next and final stage will be Algiers where the units will enter the next 31 March.
